In the following forty days, hundreds of people witnessed the presence of Jesus who had returned from death until he ascended to heaven. Before his death, Jesus had promised eternal life to those who followed Him.
The week leading up to Easter is called Holy Week. Palm Sunday is the first day of Holy Week and it celebrates Jesus’ arrival in Jerusalem riding on a donkey. Crowds of people came out of the arena of city to greet him, throwing down palm branches on the road. On Maundy Thursday Christians recognized when Jesus ate the Passover meal with his disciples, breaking bread & drinking wine, which is now known as the Last Supper. Good Friday is the Friday before Easter Sunday which commemorates the execution of Jesus by crucifixion.

The Real Easter Story in The Bible
According to the Real Easter Story in Bible, after Jesus was crucified on Friday, Joseph of Arimathea had Christ’s body placed in his own tomb. A huge stone covered the entrance and Roman soldiers guarded the sealed tomb. On the third day, a Sunday, several women named Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, Joanna & Salome went to the tomb at dawn to see the body of Jesus.
A violent earthquake took place as an angel from heaven came back to the stone. The guards shook in fear as the angel, dressed in bright white outfit, sat upon the stone. The angel declared to the women that Jesus who was crucified was no longer in the tomb, “He is risen, just as he shouted.” After that he instructed the women to inspect the tomb and then see for themselves.
Next day he told them to go inform other disciples. With a mixture of fear as well as joy they ran to obey the command of angel but suddenly Jesus caught them on their way. They fell at his feet and meanwhile worshiped him.
When the guards reported what had happened to the chief priests, they sent the soldiers with a large sum of money, telling them to lie and asked them to told that the disciples had stolen the body in the night. After his resurrection, Jesus appeared to these women who present near the tomb and later at least twice to the disciples while they were came at a house in prayer. He visited two of the disciples on the road to Emmaus and then he also appeared at the Sea of Galilee while several of the disciples who were fishing.

The Story of Easter Bunny depicts the origin of the legendary Easter bunny. The Easter bunny is one of the adorable childhood icons and during the festival of Easter children eagerly waits for the bunny to bring some colored eggs and gift baskets. As per the tale, it wasn’t always the Easter Bunny who colored eggs and wove baskets for the kids on the eve of Easter; it was an old couple who lived in a snug little cottage.
